Lying Lester Asks: Are dEmocrats More Fascist Than rEpublicans?

Fascism is a word tossed about frequently. Conservatives will say progressives lean fascist and pRogressives will say Conservatives lean fascist. So, what's the truth? Or is there some truth both display some if not all of the characteristics?

Dr. Laurence Britt, a political scientist who studied the fascist regimes of Hitler, Mussolini, Franco, Suharto, and Pinochet and found common themes running through of all these. He compiled a list called "The 14 Points of Fascism".

1. Powerful and continuing expressions of nationalism 2. Disdain for the importance of human rights 3. Identification of enemies/scapegoats as a unifying cause 4. The supremacy of the military/avid militarism 5. Rampant sexism 6. A controlled mass media 7. Obsession with national security 8. Religion and ruling elite tied together 9. Power of corporations protected 10. Power of labor suppressed or eliminated 11. Disdain and suppression of intellectuals and the arts 12. Obsession with crime and punishment 13. Rampant cronyism and corruption 13. Rampant cronyism and corruption 14. Fraudulent elections (Link).

Do you see any evidence that some (or all) of these are present in America today??????????????????????????? If so, which political party do you believe demonstrates the most attributes of fascism and why?

Frankly Lying Lester thinks the dEmocrats check off more points on the fascism list then do the rEpublicans. For example, dEmocrats express their disdain for human rights with their forcing of people to buy healthcare insurance they may not need or want (#2).

And dEmocrats excel at scapegoating rEpublicans (#3), bArack oBama has continued the wars begun by his predecessor as well as INCREASED the drone attacks... so he checks off the "avid militarism" box too.

Rampant sexism with their fake "war on women" (#5), a controlled mass media (#6), increased military spending by Obama disguised as "cuts" (#7), Obama's insistence that he is a Christian, even though that might not be true (#8), Obama's bank bailout and "stimulus"/giveaway to corporations (#9), failure to persue card check (a good thing IMO, but. (#10).

*Skip* (#11), lessening of sentences for drug crimes (#12), rampant cronyism and corruption... ABSOLUTELY. So true I put it on the list twice (#13), AND FINALLY...

Fraudulent elections? Possibly with help from ACORN (#14). In any case, Lying Lester considers the buying of votes - which the oBama admin has most certainly done - to be fraudulent.

So there you have it folks. dEmocrats fascist? The verdict is YES, which isn't to say the rEpublicans don't check off some of those boxes as well, but I shall leave it to my readers/commenters to make that case if they wish.

Anywho... the US a fascist/sOcialist country? Lying Lester says yes. Unfortunately. Surely Ayn Rand is spinning in her grave. Not that things were THAT much better in her day, but they sure as hell are not getting better. The slide into fascism/sOcialism continues. When will we wake up and realize that more liberty and not less liberty is the ONLY answer?
